Acousti-Vane Splitter Silencers — Low · Moderate · High Pressure Drop

Universal Silencer's Acousti-Vane silencer is a duct-mounted splitter (baffle) silencer designed for HVAC fans, industrial ventilation systems, and process vent lines. The Acousti-Vane comes in standard cross-sections and lengths that cover a wide range of applications and provide economical solutions to a broad range of noise conditions. It is available in three standard pressure drop configurations and can be adapted for non-standard or application-specific configurations. The steel frame has high sound transmission loss, and the standard two-coat paint system is rated to 300°F.

Acousti-Vane Models

Low-Pressure DropAV-LP

Designed for applications where minimizing pressure drop is the primary concern. Provides moderate noise attenuation with the lowest resistance to airflow. Suitable for HVAC systems and ventilation applications where fan energy efficiency is critical.

Pressure Drop

Lowest

Attenuation

Moderate

Best For

HVAC, general ventilation, energy-sensitive systems

Moderate-Pressure DropAV-MP

Balanced design offering a compromise between noise attenuation and pressure drop. The most commonly specified Acousti-Vane configuration for industrial ventilation and process applications. Available in standard cross-sections and lengths.

Pressure Drop

Moderate

Attenuation

High

Best For

Industrial ventilation, process air systems, standard applications

High-Pressure DropAV-HP

Maximum noise attenuation configuration for applications where noise reduction is the primary requirement and pressure drop is acceptable. Used in noise-critical environments where the fan system has sufficient static pressure capacity.

Higher

Attenuation

Maximum

Best For

Noise-critical environments, power plant ventilation, industrial exhaust
