Flow Actuated Electrical Switches — Custom Designed for Your Application

PEECO flow actuated switches are simple mechanical devices — movement and friction are minimal, giving longer life with accurate repetition. Actuated by flow, not pressure. Completely field adjustable, available in any electrical rating, any type of connection, most metals, Teflon® and plastics.
Maintenance free in lines from 1/16" to 12 ft. or larger. Temperature range -450°F to +2,000°F. Pressure to 10,000 PSI. Explosion proof and non-explosion proof. PEECO switches are not standard shelf items — each is specifically designed for your application.

What fluid are you monitoring?
Select based on area classification and pressure requirement
Standard PEECO flow switches for non-hazardous locations. Pressure to 600 PSI, temperatures to 300°F standard (to 2000°F with finned body extension). Screwed, flanged, tee, wafer, or welded mountings.
Explosion proof flow switches rated for Class I, Division 1, Group D hazardous locations. Designed for reliable operation in the most demanding industrial environments.
High pressure PEECO flow switches rated to 10,000 PSI. All stainless steel or any machinable metal. For hydraulic, oil & gas, and high-pressure process applications.
Select based on fluid type, pipe size, and flow velocity
All options are factory-configured at time of order
Air Operated (Non-Electric / Pneumatic)
Pneumatically actuated output — no electrical connection required. For intrinsically safe or air-logic control systems.
Dash Pot Option
Hydraulic time-delay dashpot prevents nuisance tripping from flow surges or pulsation. Adjustable delay 0–30 seconds.
Direct Reading Option
Adds a visual flow indicator to the switch body — confirm flow presence without instrumentation.
High Temperature Option
Finned body extension isolates the switch mechanism from process temperatures up to 2,000°F.
Low Flow Option
Sensitive spring and paddle geometry for detection of very low flow velocities in small-bore lines.
Multiple Action (High/Low, Reverse Flow)
Dual switch outputs for high-flow and low-flow alarms, or separate contacts for forward and reverse flow detection.
Turbulent Flow / Cavitation / Pulsation Option
Perforated paddle or dampened mechanism to prevent false trips in turbulent, cavitating, or pulsating flow streams.
Sanitary Option (Tri-Clamp / Tri-Clover)
3-A approved sanitary construction with Tri-Clamp connections. For food, dairy, beverage, and pharmaceutical service.
Stem Dampener Option
Mechanical dampener on the actuating stem reduces wear and false trips in high-vibration installations.
Teflon / PVC / Kynar Coating Option
Wetted parts coated or lined with PTFE, PVC, or PVDF (Kynar) for corrosive fluid service.
Time Delay Option
Electronic or mechanical time delay prevents nuisance alarms during startup, shutdown, or brief flow interruptions.
Pig Detectors
Detects passage of pipeline pigs (scrapers/spheres) in oil & gas pipelines. Rugged construction for field installation.
