Dürr Universal Silencers's series of cartridge filters and filter-silencers offer high-performance filtration and silencing in a convenient, economical configuration. Filters are available in inlet sizes ranging from ½ inch to 16 inches, accommodating air flows of 15 to 7,700 CFM. The CS and CCS series include a silencer section; the CF and CCF series are filter-only. The CS and CF series have top sealing plates; the CCS and CCF series include a weatherhood for outdoor service.

CS Series+ Silencer

Cartridge Filter-Silencer (Top Sealing Plate)

The CS series combines a round cartridge filter element with an integral silencer section. Features a top sealing plate for secure element retention. Provides both inlet air filtration and noise attenuation in a compact, economical package. Ideal for vacuum pump, blower, and engine applications.

CCS Series+ SilencerWeatherhood

Cartridge Filter-Silencer (Weatherhood)

The CCS series is identical to the CS series but includes a weatherhood for outdoor installations. The weatherhood protects the filter element from rain and debris ingestion. Suitable for outdoor blower, engine, and vacuum pump installations where weather protection is required.

CF Series

Cartridge Filter Only (Top Sealing Plate)

The CF series provides inlet air filtration without a silencer section. Features a top sealing plate. Used where noise attenuation is not required or is handled separately. Lower cost option for applications where filtration alone is the primary requirement.

Cartridge Filter Only (Weatherhood)

The CCF series provides inlet air filtration without a silencer section, with a weatherhood for outdoor service. Used where noise attenuation is not required and weather protection is needed. Economical option for outdoor filter-only applications.

Filter Media Types

Pleated Paper (Cellulose)Efficiency: Highest

Construction: Oven-cured during drying; plastisol end caps; molded sealing beads

Highest filtration efficiency. Recommended for applications requiring maximum particulate removal. Single-use — replace when pressure drop reaches service limit.

Pleated Felt (Polyester)Efficiency: Moderate

Construction: Durable polyester felt media; same molded sealing beads and plastisol end caps as paper element

Suitable for less demanding applications. Durable polyester construction. Single-use.

Wire MeshEfficiency: Coarse (rough filtration only)Reusable

Construction: Treated with adhesive; metal end caps on larger sizes instead of plastisol

Recommended for rough filtration only. Cleanable and reusable — wash and reinstall. Lowest cost per service life. Larger sizes have metal end caps.
