90° Flanged Sight Flow Indicators — Model 90-LR

90° Long Radius Angle-Cast · ANSI 150# & 300# Flanged · Single & Dual Window

Jacoby-Tarbox 90-LR 90° flanged sight flow indicator

The Jacoby-Tarbox Model 90-LR is a 90° angle-cast flanged sight flow indicator with a long-radius body. The 90° body turns the flow path 90 degrees within the casting, positioning the viewing port perpendicular to the inlet pipe — eliminating a separate elbow fitting and reducing the total number of flanges and potential leak points. The face-to-face dimension matches a Class 150 or Class 300 long-radius elbow. Available in ANSI 150# (model code TQZ-) and ANSI 300# (TRZ-), with dual window versions (TQX- / TRX-) for hazardous service.

Available Models

Model 90-LR — 90° Long Radius Flanged (ANSI 150#)

90° Angle · Flanged 150# · Model TQZ-Code: TQZ-

The Jacoby-Tarbox 90-LR is a 90° angle-cast flanged sight flow indicator with long-radius body geometry. The 90° body turns the flow path 90 degrees, positioning the viewing port perpendicular to the inlet pipe — eliminating a separate elbow fitting and reducing the total number of flanges and potential leak points. The long-radius cast body provides a smooth, low-turbulence flow path. Flanged connections per ANSI B16.5 Class 150. The face-to-face dimension matches a Class 150 long-radius elbow.

Model 90-LR-300 — 90° Long Radius Flanged (ANSI 300#)

90° Angle · Flanged 300# · Model TRZ-Code: TRZ-

Higher-pressure version of the 90-LR with ANSI Class 300 flanged connections. Provides the same 90° angle-pattern installation advantages at elevated pressure ratings. Suitable for steam, high-pressure process lines, and applications where Class 150 ratings are insufficient.

Model 90-LR-DW — Dual Window (ANSI 150#)

Dual Window · Flanged 150# · Model TQX-Code: TQX-

Dual window version of the 90-LR. The dual window design provides an additional safety barrier — if the primary glass is compromised, the secondary window maintains process containment. Recommended for hazardous, toxic, or high-value process streams.

Model 90-LR-300-DW — Dual Window (ANSI 300#)

Dual Window · Flanged 300# · Model TRX-Code: TRX-

Dual window version of the 90-LR-300 for high-pressure hazardous service. Combines the Class 300 pressure rating with the added safety of dual window construction.

ANSI 150# — Models TQZ- / TQX-

Standard pressure class. Full ANSI B16.5 Class 150 pressure-temperature rating. TQZ- is single window; TQX- is dual window. Most common selection for general process service.

ANSI 300# — Models TRZ- / TRX-

Higher pressure class. Full ANSI B16.5 Class 300 pressure-temperature rating. TRZ- is single window; TRX- is dual window. Specified for steam, high-pressure process lines, and applications where Class 150 is insufficient.

Installation Advantages of the 90° Angle Pattern

No Elbow Required

The 90° body replaces a separate elbow fitting, reducing total installed cost and potential leak points.

Operator-Facing View Port

Viewing port faces the operator regardless of pipe orientation — no awkward viewing angles.

Tight-Space Installations

Ideal when the pipeline runs parallel to a wall, panel, or structural member with no room for a straight-through unit.

Top-Down Viewing

On horizontal pipelines, the 90° pattern allows viewing from above — useful for overhead or elevated piping.

Lower Pressure Drop (LR)

Long-radius models provide a smoother flow path, reducing turbulence and pressure drop versus a standard 90° elbow.

Viscous & Slurry Service

Long-radius body minimizes flow disturbance — preferred for viscous fluids, slurries, and particulate-laden streams.

Typical Applications

Cooling Water Systems

Confirm flow in heat exchanger and cooling tower circuits where piping runs along walls or panels.

Chemical Processing

Monitor corrosive or viscous chemical streams; 316 SS and Alloy 20 bodies for aggressive media.

Steam Condensate

Verify condensate return flow in tight mechanical rooms where straight-through units cannot be oriented correctly.

Lubrication Systems

Confirm lube oil flow to bearings and rotating equipment; long-radius models for viscous oils.

Pump Discharge Monitoring

Install at pump discharge where piping changes direction — the 90° body serves as both indicator and elbow.

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Lines

Compact angle-pattern design fits in confined hydraulic and pneumatic panel installations.
