Series SVTC — Combination Explosion-Proof Light & Sanitary Sightglass Assembly
The Series SVTC is a combination explosion-proof light and sanitary sightglass assembly. By integrating a Series SVTC sanitary clamp-type sightglass directly into a Series SLEX-100/REX-100 lighting fixture, users can illuminate the contents of a pressurized vessel or pipeline with 100W of lighting intensity on existing standard sanitary clamp style ferrules. Available with either LED or halogen bulbs.
The lens of the sightglass is an integral part of the unit — not a loose part. The standard unit is suitable for 150 PSIG and full vacuum with a maximum temperature limit of 500°F. Higher temperature and pressure ratings are available on request.

Integral Sightglass Lens
The lens is an integral part of the unit — not a loose part. Eliminates the risk of lens displacement under pressure or vacuum.
Heavy-Wall Aluminum Alloy
Copper-free aluminum alloy No. 356T6 castings with heavy walls to withstand internal explosions without damage, containing and extinguishing burning gases before they ignite the surrounding atmosphere.
Separate Explosion-Proof Compartments
Both the lamp and wiring compartments are separate and individually explosion-proof per UL-844 and CSA C22.2 — enhanced safety and serviceability.
Easy Relamping
Both models can be re-lamped without removing the unit from service or disturbing any electrical connections — minimizing downtime.
316L Stainless Steel Clamp
Available in 3" or 4" sanitary clamp connections. 316L SST construction for corrosion resistance in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical environments.
REX-100 Reflector Option
The REX100/SVTC is provided with a highly polished internal reflector that increases light intensity over the standard SLEX100/SVTC model.
The HI-LED SVTC Series illuminators offer lower overall cost of ownership than halogen lamps. The custom-designed LED array — LM80 tested and Energy Star approved — provides uniform, bright white light with no hot spots or yellow tint. State-of-the-art optics control the light in a specific uniform pattern, making HI-LED ideal for video camera monitoring systems. This is not an off-the-shelf LED bulb — it was custom designed to save energy, provide uniform light, and extend lamp life to reduce overall operating costs.
35,000–40,000 Hour Lamp Life
vs. 1,000–2,000 hours for halogen — dramatically fewer replacements, lower labor and downtime costs.
Vibration, Heat & Dust Resistant
Robust technology immune to shock and vibration. No filament to fail. Resistant to surface oil and harsh washdown environments.
No Excessive Heat
No heat transmission into the sightglass or vessel. Runs cool and can operate continuously without overheating electronics.
Ideal for Video Monitoring
Uniform bright white light with no hot spots or yellow tint — perfect for TV and video camera monitoring systems.
22% More Light Intensity
Than a 100W halogen bulb, at 1/3 the wattage of other LED fixtures. LM80 tested and Energy Star approved.
93% Less Energy
Compared to a standard 100W halogen bulb. Lasts 98% longer. Custom optics provide uniform, high-intensity illumination.
