RTM Tank Eductors · Eductors & Jet Pumps
Direct steam injection heats and agitates tank liquids simultaneously — up to 95% heat transfer efficiency with no heat exchanger, no moving parts, and no separate mixer required.

Steam is injected directly into the liquid, eliminating heat loss from a heat exchanger. Nearly all steam energy transfers to the process fluid.
The turbulent flow created by steam injection simultaneously agitates the liquid — no separate mixer required. Prevents scale and deposit formation.
Creates turbulent flow that mixes and heats the liquid evenly — especially important for viscous liquids or liquids with solids in suspension.
Zero mechanical components means minimal maintenance, no lubrication, and very low downtime. Operates on 10–140 PSIG steam.
RTM tank heating eductors — also known as steam spargers — inject steam into the liquid at high velocity, creating turbulent flow that heats the liquid quickly and evenly. The TLM-521 provides direct contact of steam into the liquid, assuring complete transfer of steam energy into the process fluid.
Unlike heat exchangers that lose efficiency as scale builds on interior surfaces, the TLM-521 maintains consistent performance. The velocity of the injected steam also agitates the liquid contents while heating occurs — eliminating the need for a separate mixer.
Steam disperses over more of the liquid volume, resulting in more homogeneous heating than other steam injection methods. Operates on 10 to 140 PSIG steam supply.

RTM TLM521 Tank Heating Eductor — 316SS
Operating Note — Steam Hammer Prevention
To help eliminate steam hammer, ensure that the minimum absolute pressure of the eductor is at least twice the absolute pressure inside the tank at eductor depth. Heating vessels at atmospheric pressure beyond 140°F should not be attempted — exceeding this temperature could result in uncondensed steam evolving from the liquid.
Available in Carbon Steel, 316 Stainless Steel, and other alloys to suit your process fluid and temperature requirements. Standard body connections: 3/4″ — male NPT; 1-1/2″ through 3″ — female NPT; 4″ and above — flanged.
