Type 620 and 622 Fixed Nozzle Gas Jet Compressors

Pressure
gauges are typically installed on all connections for testing
and monitoring purposes. The scale of pressure gauges should
be selected to prevent gauge damage from over pressurization,
with the operating pressure close to midscale. Isolation
valves allow for the removal of the unit from the pipeline
during routine maintenance inspections. A check valve prevents
back flow of gas to the suction line in the event of a
system upset or blockage in the ejector discharge line.
A strainer prevents clogging of the motive nozzle by solids.
In steam service, a steam separator is recommended to insure
that quality dry steam is available for the motive source.
Dry steam minimizes wear of the motive steam nozzle. |

A multi jet system provides enough flexibility
to meet variations in demand. When demand decreases below maximum
flow, units can be shut down in combinations which most closely
meet the required demand. |
