The company
was founded in 1937 as the J. Arthur Moore Company as a sales
organization representing the John Zink Co., Tulsa, Oklahoma,
a manufacturer of gas and oil burners for the petroleum heaters
used in oil refining.
Both
companies thrived and J. Arthur Moore Co. expanded, adding
other principal companies - notably Jerguson Gage & Valve
Company, the leading manufacturer of high pressure level gages,
and Jensen Mixers, the leading manufacturer of petroleum tank
mixers.
The
company maintained sales offices at 342 Madison Avenue in New
York City with a subsidiary service organization in Brooklyn
to provide pump and valve repairs and engine room controls
service for the marine industry.
In
1974, the company followed its customers to the New Jersey
suburbs, re-locating to South Hackensack, New Jersey.
The
current owner, Ronald Yates, started with the company in 1956,
when J. Arthur Moore retired in 1987, purchased the on-going
business, naming it Northeast Controls, Inc.
The
company backs up its sales force with a field service group,
welding/fab shop, instrumentation shop and an inventory to
better serve its customers. Over the years, we have established
a reputation for technical competence, competitive pricing,
performance and service. Several of our principal companies
utilize our expertise in controls packaging, module packaging
and field service. |
