Magnesonics 600 Series Non-Contact Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

The model 610, 620, and 630 are non-contact ultrasonic level measurement and control systems comprised of a control unit and transducer. This system provides process measurement utilizing proven time of flight non-contact ultrasonic technology.

The function of the control unit is to precisely measure the time period between the transmitted echo pulse and the reflected echo pulse to determine the process level. A series of digital software algorithms tine tune the returned echo to ensure the correct return echo pulse is monitored. The control unit electronics are housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure and include as standard a two­line alpha-numeric display, two alarm control relays, and a 4-20 mA output.

The transducer is all PVC construction except for the face; which is a layered acoustically matched impedence polyurethane material designed to enhance the transmitted echo pulse while maximizing sensitivity to the return reflected echo pulse. A 15 foot long two conductor shielded cable is provided to connect the transducer to the control unit. Coaxial cable is used for longer separations up to a maximum distance of 750 ft.

The model 610 is designed for use on liquid and short range solid applications, whereas the model 620 is designed to measure open channel flow applications. The model 610 is specifically designed for longer range liquid or solid applications with dusty conditions.
