Vibrating Fork Level Controls

Magnesonics Vibrating Fork Level Controls use a piezoelectric crystal to vibrate a fork-shaped probe at its natural resonant frequency. When the fork is immersed in liquid or covered by bulk solids, the vibration frequency changes, triggering the level switch output. This technology provides reliable point level detection with no moving parts and no calibration required.

Vibrating fork level switches are suitable for a wide range of liquids including high-viscosity fluids, slurries, and foaming liquids, as well as granular solids and powders. The fork design is self-cleaning and resistant to buildup.

Key Features

No Moving Parts

Piezoelectric vibration technology — no floats, no paddles, no mechanical components to wear or stick.

No Calibration Required

Factory set for liquid or solid detection. No field calibration needed for standard applications.

Self-Cleaning Fork

The vibrating fork resists buildup of viscous liquids, sticky materials, and scale. Suitable for high-viscosity and coating applications.

Wide Application Range

Suitable for liquids, slurries, foaming liquids, granular solids, and powders. Works in high-pressure and high-temperature service.
