Jerguson Gage & Valve
Series W20 & W300L · Series RW400 · Standard and Isolable Configurations
Jerguson® Weld Pad™ liquid level gages are applied directly to the tank or vessel wall — no nozzle, flange, or threaded vessel connection required. The gage chamber is welded to the vessel, providing a compact, economical solution for level indication on non-critical applications such as seal pots, storage tanks, and low-pressure process vessels.
Two series are available: the Series W20 & W300L, which offer both reflex and transparent glass types and an isolable option with integral valves, and the Series RW400, a low-pressure reflex-only gage with a 2-hole pad design rated to 400 PSI @ 400°F.

Non-Critical Applications: Standard weld pad gages (without integral isolation valves) require the process to be shut down and the vessel drained to service or replace the gage. They are not recommended for critical process equipment where continuous operation is required. For process vessels requiring in-service maintenance, specify the isolable version with integral valves.
Reflex and Transparent · Standard and Isolable · NACE MR0175/MR0103 Available
The Series W20 and W300L are standard weld pad liquid level gages available in both reflex and transparent types. They are generally used for non-critical applications such as seal pots. When using standard (non-isolable) weld pad gages, the tank must be relieved of pressure and drained to service the gage. This type of gage is not used on critical process equipment because maintenance or replacement requires shutting down the entire process.
Standard Features
Isolable Version — Integral Valves
Jerguson Isolable Weld Pad Gages follow the general design of standard weld pad gages but add the significant advantage of integral isolation valves. Because the gage can be isolated from the vessel, gaskets or glass can be replaced without lowering the liquid level below the gage inlet or relieving pressure from the vessel. Installed by matching the valve inlets with holes drilled in the vessel and making a 100% fillet weld between the vessel wall and the valve inlets. The gage chamber is tack welded to the vessel.
Up to 400 PSI @ 400°F · Reflex Only · 2-Hole Pad Design · NACE MR0175/MR0103 Available
The Series RW400 is a low-pressure weld pad gage available with reflex type glass only. The 2-hole pad design allows fluid to flow freely through the gage, provides more reinforcement when welded to the vessel, and simplifies fabrication — the vessel wall requires only two thru-holes to match the pad rather than a machined slot. As an option, the pad can be machined with a radius to conform to the vessel O.D. Weld pads are generally used for non-critical applications because the process must be shut down for gage maintenance or replacement.
