The Blancett Dual Scaler Circuit
Card is used to take the input signal from two Model-1100
turbine meters (1" through 4") and provide a
pulse output of one (1) pulse per gallon to any CPU, RTU
or similar totalizer devices.
Fluid moving through
the turbine flow meter causes the rotor to rotate in
relation to the flow rate. The rotation of the rotor
blades cuts through the magnetic field generated by
the magnetic pick-up which in turn generates a frequency
output signal that is directly proportional to the speed
of the rotor.
The signal produced is received by the Dual Scaler
Circuit Card's input amplifier, which has an adjustable
input sensitivity. The signal is then sent to a divisor
with a range of 1 through 1023 to produce one pulse
per gallon output to a CPU, RTU or other totaling device.
