Model 900B Impeller-Type Flow Meter |
The
Model 900B Flow Meter features interchangeable inlet inserts,
containing three different sized offices. These orifices are
precalibrated to accurately monitor flow in three progressive
flow ranges: Low (68-172 BPD), Mid (172-1543 BPD) and Hi (1543-3086
BPD).
Designed for water flood applications the Model 900B is constructed
of abrasive and chemical resistant stainless steel capable
of handling pressure up to 2,000 psi. The Model 900B design
offers quick access to the internal components without the
need to remove the meter from the flow line.

The Model 900B Impeller-type Meter design features
interchangeable inlet inserts, containing three different
sized orifices. These orifices are precalibrated to
accurately monitor flow in three progressive flow
ranges; a low flow range of 68-172 BPD a mid flow
range of 172-1543 BPD and a high flow range of 1543-3086
BPD. These inlet inserts extend the meter's overall
flow range from 68 to 3086 BPD. Liquid enters the
meter inlet, passing through the preselected inlet
nozzle, flowing into the cylindrical measuring chamber.
In the measuring chamber, the flowing liquid is forced
to separate into two equal streams, traveling in a
360º loop. The streams are further channeled, by the
special configuration of the measuring chamber, into
a series of vortices which cause the rotary vaned
impeller to rotate in direct proportion to the flow
rate. These dual flow streams are recombined into
a single stream at the meter outlet. |
