Model 1200 Turbine Flow Meter

The Model 1200 Turbine Flow Meter is designed and constructed for reliable flow measurement in rigorous chemical processing and industrial class environments.
This design includes a rugged stainless steel meter housing with a durable, abrasive-resistant CD4MCU-416 stainless steel rotor along with a stainless steel rotor shaft by two stainless steel ball bearings. The Model 1200 features an integral electronic RF pickup to improve the meter's operating efficiency at the low end of the flow range.

Operating Principle

The Model B1200 Turbine Meter design includes a pair of hydrodynamically shaped deflector cones to supplement the flow straightner sections in stabilizing the fluid flow pattern (turbulent to laminar) through the meter. This laminar flow pattern causes the rotor to operate more consistently, at speeds proportional to the fluid velocity passing through the rotor's turbine blades.

The rotating turbine blades modulate a high frequency carrier wave in the externally-mounted RF pickup,creating a 5-volt DC square wave (output signal).
